Job Summary

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level SQL DBA (DBA II Equivalent) to provide database administration, development, and maintenance support for the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments. The specialist will support:

• SQL Server and SQL Cluster operations, monitoring, and issue triage
• Database maintenance, patching, backup/restore, HA/DR, and COOP activities
• Database and application support, including ServiceNow ticket resolution

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day within core business hours (7:30 AM-6:00 PM)

Excluding recognized U.S. federal holidays and Government facility closures

Remote (CONUS only) per GPO IT Security policy; occasional after-hours patching and server support as scheduled

Must be available via MS Teams while on duty

Key Responsibilities

Operations, Monitoring & Issue Triage

• Execute daily troubleshooting, system setup, error triage, and configuration for SQL Server and SQL Clusters.
• Manage request lifecycles from submission to closeout within ServiceNow.
• Perform proactive capacity planning and system health monitoring using Idera and SolarWinds.

Maintenance, Sustainment & Change Management

• Respond to and execute assigned Requests for Changes (RFCs) for ongoing maintenance.
• Resolve ServiceNow tickets according to operational SLAs.
• Maintain database security, compliance, backups, restoration, and disaster recovery including COOP activities.

Database & Application Support

• Assist users with building and configuring SQL databases.
• Troubleshoot database and application-level integration issues (e.g., SharePoint, OnBase, Power BI).

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of SQL database administration experience
• Demonstrated expertise across SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, and MS Access
• Experience with SQL Server 19, 22, and 25
• Proven ability with HA/DR, patching, performance tuning, and incident management

Software / Tools

• ServiceNow, Idera, SolarWinds
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
• TOAD (available, not required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional SQL certifications (strongly recommended)
• Federal government experience
• Cloud platform experience (MS Azure, Amazon, Oracle OCI)

Federal Project Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. (Green Card / H1B)
• Must pass GPO Personnel Security vetting (Public Trust)
• Must obtain and maintain a GPO laptop and RSA SecurID token
• Must comply with all GPO IT Security policies
• Remote access restricted to GPO VPN/RSA connections only
• Work must be performed within the continental United States (CONUS)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Remote office environment (CONUS only)
• Occasional travel for onboarding or equipment issuance
