About the Role

We are seeking a Voice Tier 3 Engineer to serve as a Key Personnel position supporting the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) Support contract. This role is responsible for configuring, developing, patching, STIGing, enhancing, and adding features to the Cisco VoIP system, including Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Ribbon VX900 devices, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference Bridges. The engineer will develop configurations and methods for Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect the system to external voice systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, develop, patch, STIG, enhance, and add features to Cisco VoIP system including Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Ribbon VX900 devices, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference Bridges.
  • Develop configurations and methods for Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and other network devices that use SIP to connect system to external voice systems.
  • Develop configurations for SIP connections between the EACN VoIP network and other customer networks including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, SRST, and other Cisco VoIP networks.
  • Perform/assist with Network Engineering Tier 3 functions.
  • Support and sustain the VoIP capability installed in the Scott SIL and in the JBA/JBLM/SAFB operational A2G2 environment.
  • Provide technical support to configure and maintain a test and evaluation gateway as an extension of the EACN SIL.
  • Update local checklists, policies, diagrams, and documents related to the EACN.
  • Recommend configuration changes to the EACN Government Engineers and identify new requirements.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years VOIP experience.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and SIP-based voice systems.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and Ribbon VX900 devices.
  • Experience with Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, and SRST.

Certifications:

  • Cisco voice certification with concentration on Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) that includes the 350-801 Implementing and Operating Cisco Collaboration Core Technologies (CLCOR) exam.
  • Acceptable certifications include:
  • CCNP Collaboration with the 300-810 CLICA concentration
  • CCIE Collaboration
  • Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core

Capabilities:

  • Apply relative knowledge to analyze problems, identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize/apply solutions.
  • Plan and organize work to successfully perform complex tasks.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate, both written and orally, to personnel at various status and rank.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a four (4) year course of study in a relevant field leading to a bachelor's degree, or a combination of successfully completed post-high school education and/or training experiences that meet the total qualification requirements for this position level.
  • Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance at time of contract award.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD communications programs.
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and USCYBERCOM orders.
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP in classified environments.

Work Environment

  • Location: Scott AFB, IL (Not specified - likely SAFB based on PWS 2.8).
  • Travel: Local travel authorized; travel outside the local region (CONUS and OCONUS) may be required and will be reimbursed in accordance with FAR 31.2 and Public Law 99-234.
  • Hours: Normal Government working hours, 0630-1730, Monday through Friday, local time, excluding Federal holidays.
  • On-Site: Required at Government installation unless the Government requires remote telework.
  • Security: A personal security clearance is required. A Common Access Card (CAC) is required for all contractors.
