Alternate Contract Manager
Location: Fort Benning, GA (On-site)

Position Overview
Seeking a customer-focused Alternate Contract Manager to act for the Contractor when the Contract Manager is absent. This role has full authority to act for the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operations and must be available between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons. This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for HR, disciplinary, and administrative matters, while receiving work direction from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (KO). This is an in-person, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Act for the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operations in the absence of the Contract Manager
- Maintain full authority to make decisions and direct Contractor personnel on contract matters
- Ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled even as new employees acquire required GFEBS roles
- Interface with the COR and KO on technical and contractual matters
- Coordinate with the Contract Manager to ensure seamless coverage during absences
- Provide supervision and oversight of Contractor personnel performing PWS Section 5 tasks
- May also perform PWS Section 5 tasks as needed
- Ensure personnel comply with all security, training, and conduct requirements
- Maintain availability between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in public works, real-property systems, engineering systems, or installation business operations
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) prior to onboarding
- GFEBS Experience: Expected to possess experience at contract start to perform immediately upon award
- Language: Fluent in written and verbal English
- Microsoft Office: Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
Desired Experience
- Prior GFEBS, ePRISMS, BUILDER SMS, or Army DPW experience
- Experience with DoD financial systems (GFEBS, HQIIS, DAIS)
- Prior supervisory or management experience on government contracts
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain legal entry authorization to Fort Benning prior to commencing work
- Must be issued a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must comply with all DoD security regulations and safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Must pass background checks and base access control registration
- Must complete AT Level I Training, iWATCH Training, OPSEC training, and IA/IT awareness training
- Must sign and abide by an Army IT User Agreement
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays
- Telework: Not allowed; majority of work requires onsite presence
- Travel: Not authorized or reimbursed
