Position Summary

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) / Risk Engineer to lead environmental qualification testing, engineering studies, risk assessments, and risk analysis activities supporting Navy and defense programs in Newport, RI.

The position requires extensive experience developing and executing EQT programs, evaluating system and equipment risks, conducting engineering analyses, and preparing technical documentation. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of applicable military environmental and qualification testing standards, including MIL-STD-810H, MIL-DTL-901E, and MIL-STD-167-1.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) activities for Navy and defense systems.
• Develop and execute environmental qualification test plans and procedures.
• Lead engineering studies related to equipment qualification, environmental effects, reliability, and system performance.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and risk analyses.
• Identify technical, operational, and environmental risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate test requirements and determine appropriate qualification methods.
• Interpret and apply applicable military standards and testing requirements.
• Support testing conducted in accordance with:
• MIL-STD-810H
• MIL-DTL-901E
• MIL-STD-167-1
• Review test results and assess equipment/system performance against established requirements.
• Analyze test data and identify trends, anomalies, and potential failure mechanisms.
• Prepare engineering reports, risk assessments, technical analyses, and test documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians, engineers, and project personnel.
• Coordinate with government, engineering, laboratory, and program personnel.
• Support development and review of test procedures, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables.
• Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations based on documented engineering analysis.
• Ensure testing and analysis activities are conducted in accordance with applicable technical, quality, and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional engineering/testing experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT).
• Minimum 10 years of experience performing risk assessments and risk analysis.
• Demonstrated experience conducting engineering studies and technical analyses.
• Strong knowledge of military environmental qualification and testing requirements.
• Experience applying MIL-STD-810H, MIL-DTL-901E, and MIL-STD-167-1.
• Strong technical writing and engineering documentation skills.
• Ability to work in Newport, Rhode Island.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience supporting Environmental Qualification Testing and risk analysis for non-propulsion electronic systems (NPES).
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense testing programs.
• Experience developing qualification strategies and test plans for complex electronic systems.
• Experience working directly with government engineering and testing organizations.

Work Environment

The position is based in Newport, Rhode Island and may involve work in engineering offices, laboratories, and testing facilities. The position may require interaction with test personnel, engineering teams, government representatives, and program management.
