MuleSoft Consultant
E-logic is seeking a highly skilled Primary MuleSoft Consultant (API Developer / Integration Analyst) to spearhead a critical enterprise modernization initiative for Suffolk County, New York. You will lead the integration delivery and testing phase to seamlessly unify the County's financial and administrative ecosystem. You will be responsible for building an automated, API-led connectivity model connecting enterprise SaaS platforms--including CGI Advantage 4.0, Workday, and PaymentWorks--to eliminate manual data entry, reduce cycle times, and optimize workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Build reusable components, connectors, and RAML specifications.
- Architect and maintain integration flows connecting multiple SaaS platforms. Manage versioning, mapping, testing, and deployment.
- Configure API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and continuous monitoring using MuleSoft administrative tools to ensure secure data transmission.
- Architect error-handling designs, perform root-cause defect analysis, and conduct rigorous integration testing and performance tuning.
- Participate in mandatory weekly progress meetings. Log, track, and categorize integration defects and technical environment risks by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low).
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to validate specifications and provide detailed knowledge transfer and integration best practices to internal teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive, hands-on experience across the full MuleSoft ecosystem (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager) paired with expert-level DataWeave proficiency.
- A proven track record of developing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and specialized Mule applications.
- Strong knowledge of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
- Documented experience successfully integrating two or more SaaS platforms within an enterprise environment.
- Advanced proficiency with JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, and TLS.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes, translate them into technical specs, and handle environment configuration, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, impeccable documentation skills, a strong independent work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience building integrations with one or more of the following: CGI Advantage 4.0, Workday, PaymentWorks, Tyler Munis, or Euna Grants.
- Prior experience designing middleware or integration solutions within government or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Active MuleSoft Certifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD - Level 1 or 2)
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
