Access Control Security Specialist – Gate 13 Support

E-Logic is hiring a qualified Access Control Security Specialist to support Gate 13 operations at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) / Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This role is responsible for maintaining access control procedures, verifying credentials, controlling vehicle and personnel entry, and enforcing security measures at the primary Restricted Area access point.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform access control operations at Gate 13, the primary Restricted Area access point.
  • Verify visitor, employee, contractor, and authorized personnel credentials to ensure compliance with site access requirements.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow entering and exiting restricted areas.
  • Enforce established security procedures, protocols, and access control measures to maintain site safety and operational security.
  • Monitor gate activity and promptly report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, or security concerns.
  • Maintain professional interaction with military personnel, contractors, visitors, and government staff.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to access control procedures during assigned shifts.
  • Support gate operations during scheduled hours: Monday-Friday, 0530-1700.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security guard services, access control, or a related security environment, OR an Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established security procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a high-security government environment.
  • Experience working in a military, government, or restricted-access environment is preferred.
