Job Summary

E-Logic, Inc. is seeking dependable, safety-focused, and highly responsive Delivery Drivers to support a government-related project throughout Washington, DC. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles and transporting supplies, materials, equipment, and other items between warehouses, offices, government facilities, and designated project locations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and reliability.

This position supports a government-related project and requires a high level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to safety. Only qualified candidates who meet all job requirements will be selected. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and relevant experience in delivery driving, transportation, logistics, moving, or warehouse operations.

Selected candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including drug testing, prior to assignment. Employees may also be subject to additional drug testing during employment and/or after completion of the assignment as required by company policy, contract requirements, and applicable regulations.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation

Safely operate company vehicles, including cargo vans, box trucks, and other assigned delivery vehicles throughout Washington, DC while complying with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.

Transportation and Delivery

Transport and deliver supplies, materials, equipment, and other items between warehouses, offices, government facilities, and designated project locations according to assigned routes and schedules.

Loading and Cargo Protection

Load, unload, and properly secure materials to prevent damage during transportation while ensuring cargo is safely organized within the vehicle.

Delivery Verification

Verify delivery items against manifests, packing lists, or delivery instructions before departure and upon arrival. Obtain required signatures, delivery confirmations, and maintain accurate delivery documentation.

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report any safety concerns, vehicle damage, or maintenance issues immediately. Maintain company vehicles in a clean, organized, and professional condition.

Communication and Customer Service

Maintain professional communication and courteous interactions with supervisors, clients, facility representatives, warehouse personnel, and project team members. Report delays, delivery issues, damaged materials, or operational concerns promptly.

Warehouse Support

Assist with basic warehouse operations, including inventory handling, loading, unloading, staging, and organization tasks when required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required. CDL may be required depending on the assigned vehicle type.
  • Acceptable driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, transportation, moving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles in an urban environment.
  • Strong attention to safety, professionalism, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing schedules and delivery priorities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and complete delivery logs, reports, and electronic confirmations when required.
  • Must comply with all project requirements, including required screenings and safety procedures.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent driving throughout Washington, DC.
  • Regular lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting of materials.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, carry, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Work may require operating in active government facility environments.
  • Daily interaction with clients, facility representatives, warehouse personnel, and project team members.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and behavior while representing E-Logic, Inc.
