E-logic is seeking a highly skilled LRS Data Engineer to build, optimize, and maintain the scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for FDOT's operational LRS. This role is hands-on, focusing on data quality, transformation, and management within the geospatial context.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across various platforms to support the LRS and operational needs.
  • Audit existing geospatial data, processing, storage, and networking to ensure efficiency, data quality, and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain semantic data models optimized for reporting and analytics from the LRS data.
  • Lead data cleanup initiatives with a focus on improving and maintaining data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Support the creation and delivery of an FDOT operational LRS by managing the underlying data assets and ensuring proper data integration.
  • Utilize advanced GIS tools and techniques (e.g., dynamic segmentation) for data creation, analysis, and quality assurance within the LRS.

Qualifications


  • Experience in data engineering, with strong experience in geospatial and LRS data.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL for relational database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for data automation, transformation, and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of geodatabase design principles, coordinate reference systems, and linear referencing methods.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., FME) and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) is a plus.
