E-logic is looking for a Data Architect to design the fundamental structure of FDOT's operational LRS data ecosystem. This role is responsible for the overall technical blueprint, covering data storage, processing, networking, security, and technology selection to ensure a robust and scalable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design solution architecture of geospatial data processing, storage, and networking.
- Document technology requirements and catalog of open-source tools to be used in the LRS ecosystem.
- Document system reliability and data protection through redundant architecture, ensuring system resilience and disaster recovery.
- Define conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the geospatial and LRS data domains.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture patterns, organizational data policies, and open data principles.
- Audit existing geospatial data, processing, storage, and networking to identify gaps and vulnerabilities in the current infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the GIS/LRS Solution Architect to integrate all components into a seamless operational system.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT along with Systems Architect or Data Architect, preferably in a government or large enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in database design (SQL Server, Oracle), data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Strong understanding of network design, system security, and high-availability architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing geospatial data architectures and defining metadata/data lineage frameworks.
