GIS/LRS Solution Architect

E-logic is hiring a GIS/LRS Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and design the overall geospatial solution for FDOT's operational LRS. This role focuses on the design, integration, and deployment of the LRS architecture, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and meets all operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide technical expertise in solution design of operational linear referencing systems and support the system architecture and maintenance requirements for geospatial data management and integration.
  • Design and implement enterprise GIS architectures, using products like Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise, to support the LRS.
  • Lead technical workshops and design sessions with clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating strategies and roadmaps.
  • Define system integrations and interoperability standards between the new LRS and other enterprise systems, such as asset management and financial systems.
  • Design solution architecture of geospatial data processing, storage, and networking in collaboration with the Systems/Data Architect.
  • Oversee data migration strategies from legacy systems to the new LRS model, ensuring data quality, system performance, and consistency.

Qualifications


  • Experience in enterprise GIS, including at least in a Solution Architect role.
  • Deep expertise in Linear Referencing Systems (LRS), Esri ArcGIS products (Enterprise, Roads & Highways), and geospatial data models.
  • Strong skills in data modeling, ETL tools (e.g., FME, Python), and versioned workflows.
  • Experience with cloud (e.g., Azure/AWS) or hybrid deployment strategies and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into scalable and maintainable geospatial solutions.
