Lead Systems Administrator (Windows)
E-Logic is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator (Windows) to oversee, maintain, and optimize Microsoft-based systems in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The role involves managing enterprise servers, patching, automation, and performance tuning across distributed hybrid environments. The candidate will be expected to travel occasionally to District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, California, Florida, and Rhode Island.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructures, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
- Manage system provisioning, patch management, and security hardening across production and test environments.
- Support virtualization and container platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for administrative efficiency.
- Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity (STIG, RMF) and ITSM standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle sustainment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator within DoD or enterprise IT environments.
- Expertise with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Exchange, and System Center tools.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backup solutions, and enterprise storage (NetApp, EMC, VAST).
- Required IAT II certification and T3 clearance.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent.
