Job Summary:


This exciting opportunity is a full-time, permanent role with E-Logic IT.

 The AV Field Engineer will oversee and execute complex AV system installations, provide technical support throughout project lifecycles and ensure all solutions meet high-quality and safety standards. The role involves hands-on system integration, troubleshooting, and on-site team supervision, as well as frequent travel to various customer locations. 


Essential Functions 

  • Perform installations of complex audiovisual systems at various customer sites
  • Provide technical oversight and support of integrated AV projects within the project scope
  • Supervise on-site teams, ensuring efficient execution of projects from inception through completion
  • Engage in rigorous testing and troubleshooting, ensuring systems meet operational standards and client needs
  • Provide detailed project documentation and maintain high safety and quality standards
  • Stay current on latest AV technology trends and vendors
  • Work with Project Management team with project implementation issues
  • Identify special project considerations, lifts, rigging, specialized mounts etc.
  • Travel to various job sites required on an as-needed basis

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies 

  • Proven experience in audiovisual system installations Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-Sys, etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems design and integration
  • Technical skills & know how in terminating low voltage audio, video, and cabling
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Shure, Biamp, AVIXA CTS, QSYS, Crestron, Extron) are preferred
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • An understanding of systems integration techniques
  • Understanding of basic IP networking
  • Experience and troubleshooting low voltage data cables
  • Visio or CAD application experience a plus
  • Installation of AV equipment such as projectors, displays, video walls, speakers, basic cabling, mounts
  • Experience with Collaboration platforms to include MS Teams, Cisco WebEx, Zoom
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs periodically
  • Ability to lead AV system installations while onsite

Education & Experience 

  • At least 5+ years of related experience required
  • Passionate about AV technology and delivering quality installations
  • Leadership and guidance while onsite with installations
  • Certifications from Biamp, QSC, Crestron, Shure, Dante level 1, 2, 3 are preferred but not required
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Strong background in AV testing and quality assurance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Vendor certifications are highly valued
