Business Intelligence (BI) Developer – IT Applications Analyst III
E-Logic is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Intelligence (BI) Developer (IT Applications Analyst III) to support a contract with Sacramento County's Department of Child, Family and Adult Services (DCFAS). This role will play a key part in accelerating the implementation of high-priority Business Intelligence (BI) solutions within the County's Data Management Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to support BI reporting and analytics.
- Implement and maintain data warehouse and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as SSIS.
- Build and manage visualizations and reports using SSRS and Power BI.
- Support development tasks using .NET and Python for data applications and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across BI systems.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development and data analysis.
- Expertise in writing and optimizing high-performance SQL queries.
- Strong experience with database design, SSIS, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Hands-on experience with .NET and Python for data-related tasks.
- Proficiency in SSRS and Power BI for reporting and dashboarding.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse and other cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public sector or government IT environments.
- Familiarity with DCFAS data structures and services.
- Knowledge of data lake architecture and Azure services.
Work Location and Schedule:
This position requires 3 days in the office with a possible 2 days remote work flexibility.
