Network Security Engineer
E-Logic Inc. is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support a mission-critical engagement with the Maryland Judiciary. What You'll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage secure network infrastructure across enterprise-level systems.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate evolving network threats.
- Administer firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and access control systems, while monitoring network health and performance.
- Lead migrations to next-generation security platforms and zero-trust frameworks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational readiness; lead weekly updates and meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Active and current certifications (all required):
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security
- Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure or Security
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on technical experience in IT networking and security within the U.S. (CONUS)
Preferred Skills & Expertise:
- Next-gen firewalls, TLS/SSL inspection, VPN, content filtering
- Advanced switching, routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), wireless, ISE
- 802.1x, micro-segmentation, PKI, Nessus, Wireshark
- Experience with Panorama, SolarWinds, MFA solutions
- Familiarity with hybrid/cloud infrastructure and security practices
- Experience with A10 Networks (load balancing, reverse proxy) and FreeRadius
Work Location & Flexibility:
- Hybrid: 3 days/week on-site in Annapolis, MD; 2 days remote.
- On-call: Must be able to report on-site within 4 hours as needed
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
- Occasional evening/weekend hours for high-priority tasks.
