Education and Training Services Facility Manager

E-Logic is seeking a Vandenberg Education and Training Services Facility Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Vandenberg Education and Training Facility. This role involves managing and supporting U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force voluntary off-duty education and training programs. The Facility Manager will be the primary point of contact for all facility operations, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for over 14,000 individuals annually. The facility is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily facility operations, including conference and event planning, IT/audiovisual support, and classroom scheduling.
- Plan, direct, and organize facility usage, including scheduling and classroom management for meetings and instruction.
- Exercise control over daily classroom scheduling, setup, and troubleshooting; manage audio-visual functions; and oversee IT communication operating systems.
- Provide facilities and equipment operational support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Offer end-user training and logistical support to all federal, state, and local agencies using the facility.
- Serve as the facility focal point, responsible for gathering, assembling, and analyzing program information to draw conclusions and devise solutions.
- Document and communicate factual and procedural information clearly and effectively.
- Ensure proper building maintenance and serviceability of all furniture and equipment.
- Coordinate with Civil Engineers and external contractors for maintenance and repairs.
- Serve as Primary IT Equipment Custodian (ITEC) for all IT resources in the Center.
- Perform daily inspections of classroom technology and recommend updates or replacements.
- Manage IT requests, troubleshoot issues, and identify network-related problems.
- Respond to customer requests for assistance and ensure timely resolution of trouble reports.
- Ensure the facility meets all Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) requirements.
- Conduct periodic facility inspections for potential safety hazards and report them to the proper agencies.
- Assist in Shelter-in-Place (SIP) standup and execution procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of facility services contracts (grounds maintenance, refuse collection, custodial services, etc.) and coordinate service requests.
- Establish and maintain electronic Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS)/Work Order Management System (WOMS)/NEXGEN accounts for telephone-related work orders.
- Perform duties during base exercises and real-world events, following all base exercise instructions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a facility point of contact and technical expert for computer, audiovisual, and lighting requirements for events and training.
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience assisting with scheduling and conducting Satellite Broadcast Courses.
- Associate degree in a related mechanical or electrical field preferred, but not required; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of common military protocol practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for operating computer systems and audiovisual equipment for presentations.
- Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices in technical equipment, classroom scheduling, facility management, equipment management, and management information systems/audiovisual equipment.
- Skills to assist, troubleshoot, and instruct individuals with varying skill levels on technology setup and equipment usage.
- Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze program information, draw conclusions, and devise solutions.
- Demonstrated financial and operational management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience obtained within the past five (5) years.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
