We are seeking highly skilled Electronic Technicians to support the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services for the Department of the Treasury. These roles are critical to maintaining and enhancing the department's IT infrastructure and electronic security systems, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with federal standards. This job will be performance in two government locations: Washington, DC and Landover, MD.
Senior Electronic Technician III
Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis of system operations and test results for security systems.
- Identify and correct system malfunctions; escalate issues to the Supervisory Senior Electronic Technician (SSET).
- Perform authorized tests and advise on system design improvements.
- Serve as a lead technician while participating in hands-on installation and maintenance.
- Address unusually complex technical problems requiring advanced knowledge and independent judgment (as defined by the Department of Labor for Electronics Technician III level).
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory and technical experience with systems maintenance and operations.
- Advanced understanding of electronics theory and practice, equipment testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; proactive in reporting and documenting system performance and issues.
- Familiarity with security systems and infrastructure in high-security environments is a plus.
