The Norfolk Airport Authority (NAA) is seeking an experienced IT Consultant to provide strategic IT consulting services to enhance, build out, and upgrade the airport's computer-based IT systems and networks. The selected consultant will provide expertise in IT infrastructure design, technology integration, and long-term IT planning for high-traffic, complex environments like airports. This position will be hybrid, the candidate must be available to go to government facilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Risk assessment and development of proposed recommendations.
• Detailed analysis of current IT systems and identification of areas for improvement.
• Establishing defined goals, timelines, and technology integration milestones.
• Creating architectural designs, system diagrams, and technical configurations.
• Developing instructional documents to assist in end-user onboarding.
• Providing a comprehensive document outlining the long-term vision, features, and support strategy for the IT systems.
• Delivering regular updates and a final summary of all services rendered.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT consulting.
• Proven track record in IT system design, infrastructure planning, emerging technology integration, and large-scale solution implementation.
• Experience working with public sector organizations, airports, or similarly complex and large-scale entities is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
