Location: Remote (Primary place of performance is remote; occasional on-site support may be required at Fort Belvoir, VA)Clearance: Must have Active or Interim SECRET Security Clearance prior to commencement of work; U.S. Citizenship requiredJob Type: Full-timeContract Type: Government Contract (Base Year: 1 year; two 12-month option periods; 6-month extension option)<h3>Position Overview</h3>Seeking a highly experienced NG-911 PSAP Engineer - Principal to serve as the Government's senior technical advisor for Public Safety Answering Point modernization activities. This role provides engineering expertise supporting Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Call Handling Equipment (CHE), Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG-911), interoperability, system integration, testing, implementation planning, and modernization activities supporting Army emergency communications capabilities.This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for HR, disciplinary, and administrative matters, while receiving work direction from the Government Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).This is a remote position with occasional on-site requirements as directed by the Government.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Serve as the Government's senior technical advisor for PSAP modernization activities</li><li>Provide engineering expertise supporting CAD, CHE, NG-911, interoperability, system integration, testing, implementation planning, and modernization activities</li><li>Support the design, implementation, installation, configuration, and testing of modernized PSAP systems</li><li>Ensure seamless integration and full operational capability between modernized PSAP systems and existing Army Enterprise Infrastructure</li><li>Support integration with external federal, state, and local stakeholder PSAP systems requiring secure, cross-boundary data sharing</li><li>Provide technical expertise for NG-911 infrastructure planning and integration</li><li>Address GIS and LIS requirements to ensure accurate data integration for 911 call routing and handling</li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications</h3>Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related technical disciplineCertifications:<ul><li>National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certifications</li><li>Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) certifications</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience supporting emergency communications systems, NG-911 technologies, public safety communications, systems engineering, or enterprise telecommunications</li><li>CAD implementation experience</li><li>NG-911 implementation experience</li><li>Systems engineering experience</li></ul>Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship requiredSecurity: SECRET: Active or ability to obtainLanguage: Fluent in written and verbal English<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience with Army or DoD PSAP modernization programs</li><li>Experience with NENA-STA-006 GIS data standards</li><li>Experience with ESINet implementation</li><li>Experience with LIS integration</li></ul><h3>Work Role Information</h3>Work Role: NG-911 PSAP Engineer - Principal (Key Personnel)Proficiency Level: Senior/Expert<h3>Additional Requirements</h3><ul><li>Must comply with all DoW security regulations and safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)</li><li>Must pass background checks and suitability determinations</li><li>Must complete DHS Information Technology Security Awareness Training annually</li><li>Must sign and comply with DHS Rules of Behavior</li><li>Must maintain NENA and APCO certification currency</li></ul><h3>Schedule &amp; Work Conditions</h3>Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, normal business hours (0800-1700), excluding Federal holidaysOvertime: Only permitted at the Government's discretionTelework: Remote; occasional on-site support may be required as directed by the GovernmentTravel: Not authorizedPlace of Performance: Remote (primary); Fort Belvoir, VA (if on-site support is requested)<h3>Equal Opportunity Employer</h3>We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
