This role performs Section 508 conformance testing of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) using DHS-approved assessment methods and test reporting tools.</p><p style="margin: 16px 0px; font-size: 16px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);">This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for HR, disciplinary, and administrative matters, while receiving work direction from the Government Section 508 Program Manager and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).</p><p style="margin: 16px 0px; font-size: 16px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);">This is a&nbsp;<strong>remote position</strong>&nbsp;with occasional on-site requirements as directed by the Government.</p><h2 style="margin: 32px 0px 16px; font-size: 22px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Perform Section 508 testing of various Information and Communications Technology (ICT) using the current version of DHS-approved assessment methods and test reporting tools and formats</li><li>Use the DHS Trusted Tester Section 508 Conformance Test Process for Web (Version 5.0 or later) and maintain DHS Trusted Tester certification throughout the life of the task order</li><li>Conduct web accessibility testing in accordance with the Harmonized ICT Testing Baseline for Web and DHS Trusted Tester methodology</li><li>Document and report test results using DHS-approved reporting formats and tools</li><li>Provide Section 508 technical assistance and respond to Section 508 questions that arise during technical evaluations of Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) or Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT)</li><li>Develop accessibility test plans</li><li>Advise on how to interpret accessibility test results and remediate Section 508 defects</li><li>Provide remediation support for ICT</li><li>Provide Section 508 technical assistance for students completing accessibility training and Trusted Tester certification examinations</li><li>Maintain up-to-date Trusted Tester certification (Version 5.0 or later) throughout the life of the task order</li><li>Participate in events and other activities where presentations or contractor presence is required</li><li>Ensure all materials for events are prepared, delivered, and accessible</li></ul><h2 style="margin: 32px 0px 16px; font-size: 22px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp;High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li><strong>Certification:</strong>&nbsp;DHS Trusted Tester Certification Version 5.0 or later (must possess and maintain throughout the life of the task order)</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Minimum of one (1) year of accessibility testing experience</li><li><strong>Knowledge:</strong>&nbsp;Basic knowledge of the Revised Section 508 Standards</li><li><strong>Citizenship:</strong>&nbsp;U.S. Citizenship required</li><li><strong>Security:</strong>&nbsp;Must meet minimum DHS SUITABILITY requirements for Entry on Duty (EOD) unless otherwise indicated</li><li><strong>Language:</strong>&nbsp;Fluent in written and verbal English</li><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong>&nbsp;Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools and DHS-approved test reporting formats</li></ul><h2 style="margin: 32px 0px 16px; font-size: 22px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Experience testing DHS-owned or DHS-managed websites, web applications, portals, and other ICT</li><li>Familiarity with the Harmonized ICT Testing Baseline for Web</li><li>Experience with Accessibility Compliance Management System (ACMS) or similar ticketing systems</li><li>Experience providing technical assistance to students completing Trusted Tester certification examinations</li></ul><h2 style="margin: 32px 0px 16px; font-size: 22px; color: rgb(15, 17, 21);"><strong>Schedule &amp; Work Conditions</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Hours:</strong>&nbsp;Up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, normal business hours (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST), excluding Federal holidays</li><li><strong>Overtime:</strong>&nbsp;Only permitted at the Government's discretion</li><li><strong>Telework:</strong>&nbsp;Remote;
